Bio
Kandace is a Ph.D. student in the Neuroscience Graduate Group. She received her B.S. in Microbiology from the University of Washington, where she worked with Dr. Charles Chavkin to study addiction in mouse models. Her work involved collecting behavioral and imaging data, as well as developing an image analysis pipeline to assess reactive oxygen species in the brain. She is currently interested in exploring cerebrospinal fluid dynamics in relation to physiological function and aging. Kandace is a recipient of the Eugene Cota-Robles Fellowship (2024). Outside the lab, she enjoys photography, hiking, and visiting new coffee shops.
